Operation Bernhard was a WWII Nazi plan to destroy the British economy by flooding it with millions of flawless counterfeit banknotes. Directed by SS Major Bernhard Krüger, Jewish prisoners were forced to work in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, creating forgeries so perfect they even fooled the Bank of England.
